In collaboration with faculty and centers in the College of Education, the DAVID C. ANCHIN CENTER strives to assure excellence in the educational future of Florida and the nation through educational research and development. Collectively, we prepare new generations of effective educational leaders and educators, recognize and reward creativity and resourcefulness, generate and communicate innovative concepts and approaches, apply technological innovations to the education enterprise, and work with educators, parents, corporate community, and policymakers to effect changes needed to reinvent our schools. The Center leverages human and capital resources to develop, support, enhance, and showcase initiatives, programs, and research that support the advancement of teaching.

In sum, the mission of the Anchin Center is to work with educators and leaders to restructure and improve the quality of education and the teaching profession. The Center will institute and support a wide range of programs designed to reassert our nation’s commitment to and preeminence in education. The Center facilitates and promotes networking opportunities among school districts, Colleges within USF, the business community, and other education-related agencies and activities.
