Michael Melanson joined the University of South Florida, College of Education, in May 2008 as the Office Manager/Fiscal Administrator for the Florida Center for Instructional Technology. In March 2009, he moved to his current position as Unit Research Administrator, Post-Award within the College of Education. His primary duties consist of monitoring active grants and providing fiscal support to all Principal Investigators, Office Managers and Fiscal Administrators within the College of Education, concerning post-award transactions. He also acts as liaison with Research Financial Management in the grant close out process.
Michael earned his B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration from Salem State College. Prior to joining the USF community, he worked for twenty years in the consumer packaged goods industry for a large market research company. He has extensive experience in budgeting, finance and management.
